Youth & College Minister Job Description
Hours: Full-Time
Pay: $50,000 per year plus health and retirement benefits.
Reports to: Rector
Start Date: 1 June 2025

Description: Church of the Resurrection (churchoftheres.com) is an Anglican church in Flower Mound, TX. The Youth and College Minister at Church of the Resurrection (Flower Mound, TX) will assist the Rector in shepherding our young people through their transition to adulthood—a critical phase in developing a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. So s/he will execute an overall strategy for the evangelization and discipleship—catechesis—of young people from 6th grade through college.
Practically, s/he would oversee two distinct ministries: our existing youth ministry (about a dozen in grades 6-12, with large rising 4th and 5th grade classes) and develop a nascent college outreach at the University of North Texas (and potentially, other Dallas area universities). This person will oversee and implement all ministry and programs related to young people in this age range and their families. S/he will also lead and teach in regular meetings, or any other programs we might develop. S/he chairs as well as develops curricula and other ministry plans in consultation with our Children’s Minister as well as our Youth Ministry and College Ministry Advisory teams.

Qualifications:
• A college degree is required with preference for at least some seminary or advanced biblical and ministerial training, or a willingness to undertake such training.
• A solid track record in youth and/or college ministry and as an administrator capable of leading our team of volunteers.
• Must be a confirmed Anglican, or be willing to be confirmed at the soonest possible occasion, living a life above reproach and marked by holiness, as befitting a minister of Christ and His church.
• Ordination is not a requirement of this position, nor is it necessarily an ‘ordination track’ position. We are, however, prepared to work with those who might aspire or are already called to Holy Orders to advance in that process.

-
Pray regularly for the church and for those under his/her care.
